Unremarkable (2016)
The squeak in the front door;
not as annoying when it's winter.
Guess it contracts in the cold 'coz it's metal.
The number of tissues is growing
that need to be stuffed in the wet rot
hole in the frame before the shower floor.
These are some things that depend
on negligence to extend
a life without a purpose or sparkle.
Simply: unremarkable.
Try to remember a time
when there was a conversation;
exchange that became a paradigm shift.
Someone got so pissed off;
a result of an election,
they really threatened to socially drift...oh!
These are the people that bore.
White privilege opens a sucking sore.
Achilles says he's weak at the ankle.
A limping unremarkable.
Fencing a narrative mantra a maxim
Un raison d'être: a reason to be, a reason for me.
Got an idea and I think it's original
(Repeat repeat repeat)
We've heard it all before, heard it all before.
Looking around
for a secretive contrarian voter,
someone I can get riled up with...
Cracies are cyclical,
populistic sugar-coated quotas.
Seasonal, sunny, palliative.
The Rich, not opposite of poor.
Feeding the wolves at the door
Animals, they fight for survival.
The theatre; its unremarkable.
